Bob D'Eith for Maple Ridge City Council

"Real progress comes from putting people at the centre of politics."
For decades, Bob has lived, worked and played in this amazing community. Bob has been a strong advocate for the people of Maple Ridge as a volunteer and as an elected official.
Bob is the guy who brings people together to get things done.
When Highway 7 needed the final four-laning between Maple Ridge and Mission, Bob pushed hard at the provincial level to make a project on the backburner a priority. Now it's done — cutting the commute and making the roads safer for everyone who drives it.

Bob D'Eith has called Maple Ridge home for 24 years. He and his wife Kim have built their lives here — raising their five children, coaching hockey, and now welcoming their first grandchild. These days you will find him walking the dogs in Maple Ridge's spectacular parks or out on Alouette Lake with family and friends.
For over 35 years, he has practiced law and was appointed King's Counsel in 2021. He spent 14 years as CEO of Music BC, championing the province's music industry, and has built a career as a musician and author alongside his legal work. From 2017 to 2024, he served as MLA for Maple Ridge–Mission and Parliamentary Secretary for Arts and Film. He was also Caucus Chair and chaired the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services.
Closer to home, Bob has sat on the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows Arts Council and currently sits on the boards of Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services, Cythera Anti-Violence Society, Community Services Housing Society, and chairs the Alouette Addictions Services Society — work that keeps him close to the people this city is supposed to serve.
"I believe the power of hope and positivity that exists at City Hall now must continue."
For Bob, it comes down to one thing: putting the people of Maple Ridge at the centre of every decision.
On Council, that means:
- Building infrastructure and amenities that people need for a growing city.
- Improving transportation and connectivity to get people home faster.
- Creating jobs, industrial lands and promoting economic growth to diversify the tax base and allow people to work closer to their families.
- Providing the services required to keep people safe and secure in our community.

Bob has watched Maple Ridge hold on to its small-town charm while outgrowing its infrastructure, and he believes the next term is about catching up – prioritizing key infrastructure projects.
Bob is running because he's seen what steady, collaborative leadership under Mayor Dan Ruimy and the ABMR team can accomplish for this city, and he believes that work has to continue. He has spent his entire career finding common ground from different opinions rather than promoting polarizing views. He believes that is exactly what Maple Ridge needs more of.
Bob’s focus is to keep building a Maple Ridge where families, seniors, youth and everyone living here can see a bright future.
A Better Maple Ridge is a team of neighbours from across this community who believe local government works best when it stays focused on local solutions.
We're building something here, and there's a place in it for you!
